Can a bed fit in a Mk2 Caddy van?

As it says, thinking bof getting a mk2 caddy van and may want to sleep over in it occasionally. Will a double airbed or similer fit in the back??

nope! tho there was a westy conversion done of one!!

Not sure but amdro may do a diy kit for them ,

A normal caddy has about 5 1/2 ft  from bulkhead to rear doors so if your short enough you may fit corner to corner, or why not look at a Caddy Maxi there just over 7 ft  in the rear

i use a low off the floor camping bed and pull the passanger seat as far forward as it will go(with no bulkhead in obviously).im 6ft2ins and i'm normally comfy.

I'm building a custom camper interior in my caddy. With the bulk head out you have just over 6ft of floor space from the rear doors to the cab. The space is only a tiny bit smaller than the rear of my split screen bus, (not including the space above the engine bay in the splitty but I gain space under the rear seat). I've built L shape seating, cupboard along the sliding door side, small roof to floor rear cupboard, the back of the seat slots in to the base to make a wider bed or you can sleep on it as a single. I've fully insulated it and about to install central heating, next is to work out how to get the passenger seat to turn and face the rear. I wanted to build a proper GT camper, fast cruising, quite, compact, good MPG, and be able to park anywhere. I'll post some photos soon. (I'll be at the VW shows in it this year).
