Might as well have two Tim.

Just over £8K, not even 6000 miles.

<3

Reckon I'd get the first in the back of that one...

A Mk 1 LT museum would be something wouldn't it!

Interesting to see several fleet LT's coming on the market at the moment. Low mileage, well looked after. Reckon that's the last of them?

I found this lovely a few days ago, and have contacted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Heritage Trust to find out if it will be in Stockton at the end of June. Kenny, is checking since it will be having its safety checks, and will get back to me soon.
Volkswagon LT50

Unfortunately Stockton is as far south as it ventures, otherwise Glasgow and the like.

I have just heard back from Scottish Fire and Rescue.

The LT will be at Preston Hall, Darlington Stockton-on-Tees, on 28/29 June 2014

I will be there with still and movie cameras.....and a cunning plan for removal of said vehicle to a safe place.Wink

I will have to make sure that our van is still roadworthy, so I will not be removing windows etc and being the middle of summer, I better fix the wipers too.

Shame we couldn't try for a mini-meet up there and all feast our eyes (and rub our thighs), but it's Glastonbury weekend so I'll be in the tent in the lounge all wekekend

Ditto Tim. Littl'un would love to go, but would not be able to choose where to be.

I know where I would be on Sunday, 1.00pm, Park Stage. Thunderbirds are Go. F.A.B.

I spoke to the guy who was driving the LT 50 fire truck at Biggar a few years ago and he told me of its history, it had been involved in an accident which caused it to flip over on its side when it wasn't that old. The truck was repaired at great expense Having a full side replaced and other damage!

?How are things up there Ian?

My camera battery was on its' factory charge and it went down much faster than expected so I only got a few pictures. I then realised that the fubar'd one had the same battery, Clown

Once the MOT stuff is done I want to travel up and see it again, get some things written down too. ?Mind if I call in?

The chaps I met, at Preston Hall, were expecting me but were surprised that I was not a fire engine nerd.
