what is the offset of the wheels?
Adaptors are available from 5x112 to 5x120, but if the offset of the BMW wheels is low then you'll struggle to get adaptors to work. Should be marked on the wheel as "ET" and then a numer, or just "e" then a number |

They probably won't go on... If they're actual alpina, they'll probablt between 0 and 20 something. Even at 30, they won't fit too flash with adapters...
You may be able to have your rotors/drums redrilled. Maybe. |

Like Tee3 asked....
What's the ET? And what is the size and width of the alloys? Or shall we just use.... ![]() |

why limit them to a Van? Surely if theyre Alpina "style" wheels you'd be better selling them to a BMW owner? |

I feel a bit of Deja Vu from 80-90 about these
The PCD is wrong, you need adapters or to sell them on to a genuine Alpina owner..... This has been covered - do it right or "please don't be behind or in front of me when one falls off"

Not at all- just more concerned about some0ne trying to skimp on the necessary expense of buying the right adapters :-) |

I got some adapters made for my van - Thinnest we could get away with ended up being 16mm up front, 20mm on the back.
I got them drilled for 5x130 and 5x120. The 5x120 was more because its the same as 4.75" and there's stacks of cool american rims in nice wide fitments if I want to go down that road. They worked out cheaper than getting some of the usual ebay specials, too.

i have seen t3 front and rear hubs redrilled to 5x120 pcd.
i would like to do it as ive got these rims 8x18 et 20 / 9x18 et 22
think the style would be great on a t3.

Even with redrilled hubs, with those offsets you'd have trouble getting those under the stock arches and you'd have to pissball about with the sliding door hinge too.
Don't let me put you off though, they would look pretty good.

ive fitted way too many wheels..... so i can actualy say your wrong there, 8x18 et 20 on the front fits quite well.. et 28 would be better. 8x18 et 30 is a direct bolt on in most cases just a touch tight in the inner suspension points/top wishbone.9x18 et 22 would really depend on the van, i had 8.5x18 et 20 oe RS4 rims fitted to a couple of my vans. with one the door passed fullly, then another it just touched the tyre when fully open but only on the tyre.
so 9j et 22 would mean the rim face was about quater inch further out ..7mm ish
so would be down to tyres.
they would look good. would i bother with the work... not sure but there are quite alot of bmw rims that have nice t3 friendly specs bar the pcd..
they even do 17" steels for bmw´s so its tempting.

Depends how low you want to go, and how small of a tyre size you want to use I suppose.
I was just going off my own experience of a mates van has 18x8.5s, et39 ish (I forget the exact offset, but they scrape the top wishbone now and again) with 215/35/18s on. He catches the front arch all the time (But it is low) With the same wheels on the back, his sliding door catches on the wheel itself. Not hard, but it does touch. Those BMW wheels would stick out 10mm more on the front, and 22mm more on the back
It seems there must be a good bit of variation between vans - I bet how people have their camber adjusted makes a decent bit of difference, pulling the top of the wheel in or out by anything up to 20mm or so. Have you seen the T5 17" Startline steelies? I saw a set on a T3 (Red panel van chap off here, I forget who) and they looked great. Edited by cobblers - 05 Feb 12 at 11:22 |

the bmw e36 winter steels look great. not a fan of the t5 17´s look a bit too much like a vauxhall steel to me.
8.5x18 et 39 would not fit without spacers even et 35 in an 8.5 width wont fit without spacing.
plus the lower you go the more the tip of the upper wishbone sticks out.
215 35 tyres are unsafe to be running on a t3 as they are way too low in the load rating department.
a 94 rated tyre is considered on here to be the real minium.
