Finally back with a VW! It's been a long 12 months since my last T4 died a horrible death!

Just collected this one owner 2001 800 Special in Factory Black. It's in really nice condition and hasn't been messed with or ever been used as a builder's van. Really pleased with it. Just 91k from new.

The killer roofracks and ladder roller are being removed tomorrow.

Thanks. Although they suit the van, the roofracks won't be used. Removed them today, they're pretty damn heavy!

Does anyone know if the rear seat bulkhead is a genuine VW item? I haven't seen one like this before. It's made of fibreglass, the bench seat matches the Captain chairs.

Was planning to do that tomorrow :)

Other than the overhang on the step, it fits perfect and looks as though it could be a genuine VW item, but as I said- haven't seen one before!

Think that bulkhead is meant to be in a lwb, so it would sit further back and you still have some room in the back.
Nice looking T4.

Standard T4 modification package bought today LOL

-60mm TUV approved springs, clear indicators, wind deflectors and 9 metres of charcoal veltrim to line the back. I also have some half smoked rear lights on their way to me.

Looking a little cleaner..

I fear this is going to end up looking like every other T4 LOL

Hi Dave, this one's fitted with it's stock 1.9TD ABL. How's your T3 doing mate?

Half smoked rear lights fitted yesterday..

Will get round to lowering it in the next couple of days hopefully. I've also managed to swap my current 16" alloys for a set of 18" RS6 alloys :)

Thanks Dave :) Glad to hear you've still got the T3! Any trips planned for this year?

Managed to get it lowered today. 60mm springs on the rear, lowered 65mm at the front..

Old springs..

New springs..

Front and rear arches before lowering..

It appears that the 'after' photos have disappeared from my phone, so I'll have to add some tomorrow. It's looking much better now :)

Quick update!

Finally got round to carpeting the inside. Did all the exposed metal work and ply using the charcoal veltrim I bought. It's easy stuff to work with and the result looks really professional- hard to believe that some companies have the cheek to charge £500+ for a job that takes a few hours max and roughly £75 in materials.

I've put the seats and bulkhead back in for now as I'm still using it to transport my band and I around, but they'll be getting removed once I buy a rock 'n' roll bed.

I've painted the floor boards matt black for now- I'll be carpeting them before I fit a rock 'n' roll bed. Also need to take them up to run wires to the rear for speakers and other devices :)

Sliding window in the door and new wheels next, I think :)
