No offence to the owner, but can you imagine driving that! It's got to be nasty? Must keep getting your toes caught as well.

Oh please.

Do you think it would be any different if someone went to a forum solely for splits and bays and advertised some rusty T3 for 6.5k?

Of course people are going to take the piss.

So, are you going to buy it?
Didnt think so.

Nah, as I said I like it. Didn't say I was going to buy it did I, anything smaller than an LT is too small for us at the moment, it doesn't stop me liking splits, bays and T3's though does it.
No it doesn't

Wasn't slagging it off as such. Just observing the picture and commenting that I bet it's a rough ride being slammed to the deck like that. Smile I used to have a T2 and it was a smooth ride, but it stood at least a foot higher than that one.

So all told, it could be a good ride after all then. I guess you'd have to take it for a spin to find out. Was your T2 a 4x4 then ???? LOL

To be fair that is one cool looking ride regardless of whether it's a Splitty / Bay / T3 or whatever !!

I am sure it will sell as , thankfully most " Dubbers " are not narrow minded and can see that the VW " scene " is not necessarily about the vehicles and is generally more about the lifestyle and the freinds that you make along the way whilst enjoying the " craic " Wink

p.s - welcome to Brick-yard Nay and Cas - hope you stick around after the " warm welcome " - if not , will see you on VZi ( with all the other " wank jockeys " ) Wink

now I know the 'rat' look is big these days and it'd be a funny old world if we were all the same, and each to their own etc, but I'm afraid that does absolutely nothing at all for me, in fact I'm sorry but from a purely personal point of view you could knock a zero off the end of what is being asked for it and I still wouldn't buy it.

now you see, this is where you're miles off the mark...  the way the 'vw scene' has gone in the last few years is why not everyone wants to be 'down with it' - and why places like the Brick Yard exist to be honest. The scene turned totally into a looks thing, where if you weren't cool you were utterly derided, T3's were a source of much mockery within the ranks of VZi and the like, cos they weren't cool.  As you said it wasn't necessarily about the vehicles but the narrow minded ness was very extreme.

its a case of what ever floats yer boat - there's websites and forums for all sorts Brick Yard has always been, how do you say it, less about looking 'cool' by driving a shitter and calling it a Rat.

I can appreciate a really well done Rat look vehicle, this Bay isn't my cup of tea but I won't criticise it, but it doesn't really fit into the general ethos of the Brick Yard does it?
