As one of the very few people out there who's actually got AC factory fitted in their VW, I now find that the AC compressor on my Scooby lump is screwed. The weather is getting hotter, and I'd like to get it all connected up. Does anyone have a Subaru AC compressor they're about to bin? Cheers in advance Andy. 07810 504000

I think we've got a couple, I'll ask "the Belgian" if he's willing to part with one..  We're on the third ej25 now..

What engine is yours?

It's a 99MY quad cam EJ25, but I think all the AC compressors are basically the same. Cheers Andy. My daytime number is 01379 676284.

I've got one compressor that is R12, one that is R134a for the Microbru (tm) but I don't know which one I'm going to need for the 1990 (labels are long gone) to get the a/c hooked up. They do have slightly different connections too. If you're desperate, let me know. The whole thing went on ice as it's been pending bodyshop and has a misfire which I may have finally sussed...
There should be a few compressors going spare now as hardly anyone is as lucky as us in having a/c Smile I was offered a good comp, tensioner, hoses, drier etc by a guy on 80-90 (I think) for about £45 plus post. Neglected to follow it up what with other projects Embarrassed
Would like to know how your a/c man gets on with the conversion hoses etc.
