I wonder how much extra he wants for the longlife oil?

I don't think the fuel filter is due until 80K   And the air filter 40K.  I changed my own air filter at 20K because it was full of bits.

That's your problem then- Verve are the biggest bunch of numpties out... I woudln't trust them with a skateboard never mind a van.

Though saying that a mate of mine bought a T5 demo off them and has had zero problems with it.

I've just had a big service done on my 174 and needed new discs and pads all round- total was £990...not too bad as it's the first work needing done ( apart from warranty stuff) in 56000  hard miles.

Now the warranty is up I'll be a lot more selective about where it goes for servicing and I'm hopefull that all the problems are sorted now as for all the faults I've had with the van I still cannot find anything else anywhere near as good for my needs.

Oh well, live and learn I suppose. I only went to Verve because they had the van I wanted and their salesman was the only guy to bother to return my calls, Glagow isn`t exactly local for me. And Rutherglen was marooned in a maze of temporary road works systems at the time!
I guess that v.w. don`t want to service vans over three years old, therefore they try to scare people off with the exorbitant charges.
