Finally finished timing my Aaz up. Cam and pump timing are good. Got the rover boost pin installed. Compared to the old jx pump on before, it flies. It pulls really well round to about 4k revs in the first three gears no problem. In the top two gears though it definitely hesitates at 3kish revs. Now I know with aerodynamics (or lack of them) it's never going to be fast in the top two gears but it won't pull past this on the flat and only infinitely slowly if downhill. It definitely feels like its hit a wall. Why would it be different than gears one to three where there's no evidence of any kind of flat spot?
Has anyone else experienced this? Cheers |

It seems to be drawing a lot of air up the fuel pipe and on close inspection the rubber connectors to the fuel filter are rock hard so I'll start by replacing these and making it air tight. It could conceivably be the problem.
