Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone with the AVR engine could post their fuel injection quantity at idle on a cold start and when warm. (vcds display group 1 section 2). I've been having a bit of a rough idle on cold and severe engine shudder if I come off the gas and then lightly get back on it. It also cut out on me twice when cold and pulling away. It threw up two codes: 17970 - Quantity Adjuster (N146): Upper Limit Reached P1562 - 35-00 - - 17971 - Quantity Adjuster (N146): Lower Limit Reached P1563 - 35-00 - - I've checked out the fuel quantity adjuster and all associated wiring according to elsawin specs and everything checks out fine. I've increased the fuel injection quantity with vcds and it's solved the problems, but just wanted to compare with others FIQ to see if I'm just masking a problem with the higher FIQ. Thanks mate.....you're on my Christmas card list!
Would it be to much to ask for screen shots of all your measuring blocks, I'd be really interested to compare idle speed, air flow, boost pressure, smooth running control etc. I can post mine if you're interested. Thanks again appreciate it. |

Thank you so much for that, really appreciate it. A quick look through some old (rough running) logs shows it @ idling around the 4.0 mg/str hot and cold. I'll get some fresh logs when I get a minute and post them up. |

Yes it will be interesting to compare. I am wondering why your engine should suddenly start running lean without an obvious cause.
