My 1992 Syncro Camper (4 berth) is now up for sale. Cry

£11k located in St. Just, West Penwith, Cornwall.

For reasons that I don't want to go into on the internet, my wife is having to leave her job at the end of March. Because of this, we are going to have to cut back our finances. Unfortunately, this means that the syncro is going to have to go. I am totally gutted by this and have been trying to put it off for as long as possible (doubly gutted after the recent snow). I hope very much to be able to buy another syncro in the future as I am very much in love with this one!

Like I say, totally gutted Unhappy

I currently drive this daily and it is an extremely reluctant sale.

The van.

Date of first registration: 1.6.1992
Current mileage: 89313 (as of 15.1.2010)
M.O.T. until 17.9.2010
Tax until 30.9.2010

2.1 MV (Petrol)

Rare right hand drive - very well looked after.
Power assisted steering.
Front and rear difflocks.
Foxguard alarm/immobiliser.
Tow bar.
Upgraded boot struts (ready for a bike carrier)
Tinted windows all round (professionally done).
Powder coated front bash plate (done within last year)
Rear 3 point belt + lap belt
Additional front lights
Old Man Emu shocks
Dash tidy
Additional lighter socket (ideal for SatNav)
Wind/rain deflectors
Sony CD/radio. Pioneer speakers in front. Kenwood speakers in rear, separately amplified.
Captain's seats - passenger swivels.

Recent work done:

21.12.2009
Full check over of vehicle.
Front sub frame tightened.
Replace fuel pump mounting rubbers.
Refit under tray with new bolts.
Replace nearside lower ball joint and reset wheel alignment.
Replace front and rear flexible brake hoses, bleed brake system
Replace clutch slave cylinder and bleed system
Replace rear hub bearings and fit new CV joint and boot
Grease all other CV joints
Correct water leak on cooling system, replace coolant. Bleed system and test.

27.8.2009
Front upper wishbone bushes and ball joints replaced on both sides.
Oil filter + oil changed.

That work cost me £1400.

Loads of history for the vehicle (MOT certficates from 30/6/95 3427 miles) + receipts.

Last M.O.T. done on 27.8.2009 87302 miles.

There is a small stone chip in the windscreen which has been there since I've owned it, but it went throught the MOT with it.
Tyres need replacing soon - I've been looking for some ATs in 14.

The camper

4 berth - 2 downstairs and 2 up.
EMC conversion (Euro Motor Campers). I have a certificate for the conversion for 15/2/95. This was apparently a £11.5k conversion!
Reimo pop top (receipt 17.8.2002) to replace previous high top. The pop top has one slightly bent hinge, but this has not affected its performance. It also has a couple of patches where the canvas has snagged on the hinge - this has never been a problem with the thermo screen in place.
All round curtains which block loads of light.
Loads and loads of storage.
SMEV 3 burner hob + grill
Gas in "outside" locker.
Electrolux 3 way Fridge - with ice maker.
Full wiring diagram + certificates for the conversion + loads of instructions.
Truma heater with separate gas supply.
Power Management System (like a Zig unit).
Leisure battery.
Mains hookup.
2 UK 3 pin sockets.
Very plush interior, exceptionally well done headlining/trim etc.
Tap + pump + under body water tank.
Sink with cover.
Small in-van table + separately stored larger table.
Omnistor wind out awning/sun canopy - we've only has this out once, but use it to attach the main awning via a figure of 8 and a double beaded strip in the C channel (see http://www.fishbrain.biz/acatalog/awning-attachments.html).

Camping equipment (all less than 12 months old and only used last summer).

Khyam Motordome Classic + inner tent (2 berth - never used) + groundsheet. (Cost £438). Very quick and easy to pitch.
Fiamma levelling wedges (the heavy duty wide ones).
Complete JK Thermo mats for all windows.
Pop top thermo mat (this is over 12 months old, as it was given to me second hand - my most valued bit of kit!)
25m mains hook up cable
UK 3 pin adaptor for hook up cable - power anywhere!

Van located in St. Just, West Penwith, Cornwall.

Interior photos to follow. I'll add in any other bits and pieces in response to any questions etc.

It's just a bit of orange plastic - doesn't seem to have any purpose! Well spotted though, Jed. Had a lot of interest and someone coming to view on Friday.

The van is also featured on past syncronauts calendars

http://www.syncronauts.org.uk/?page_id=86

The van can be seen (with it's old registration of D1GVW) on the old syncronauts calendars for 2005 (January 2nd from left, April third from left, June at the front, July top right, October top left in the middle) and 2006 (January in the front).
