i've got myself a 1985 LT35 but i need to get a couple of parts which i'm struggling to find.  Has anyone either got the parts or point me in the direction of where to look.
The parts i need are
 Throttle pedal
passenger front indicator lens
both mirrors

Alternatively can anyone advise if the parts are shared with any other models. I would look on ww.vagcat.com but it seems to have been down for weeks!
Thanks

Hi MDW,

If you have the lorry type bar mount mirrors (a bar that starts at the top of the window and loop down below it) I would recommend MAN G90 mirrors, you can get them on ebay.  Good size and right for the era.

Throttle pedal certainly on earlier models is the same kind as Type 2 bay window buses....try JustKampers or German Swedish French.  I have never tried to see if they are the exactly the same however.  If you want an LT one then I guess it's the scrappy, these guys seem to have old LT's in and out a lot;

They might be able to do you the indicator lens's as well.

I'll see if I can check if the part number is the same for LT's and Bay windows..

OK doesn't look as if the Type 2 and the LT pedal are the same...

You need part number 281721507.

Take this to a decent VW spares man and he should be able to help.

There is a scrappy outside Carlisle that had about 6 LT's maybe 6 years ago I got mirrors from there, I cant remember the name but it is just north west of Carlisle and was massive. They were large and organised with shelved stuff so might do a mail order. If the name comes to me I will post it.

I do mean the arms as well since the brackets have broken on mine.

I've tried calling just LT's several times but no answer!

Drivers side mirrors on the arms are still available cheap from VW in heated forms

The only difference on the passenger side is the upper mount bracket which sadly went obsolete not long after I let the cat out of the bag regarding the cheap heated mirrors last year. But if you could find a 2nd hand one you will get brand new heated mirrors for circa £80

Drivers side mirrors are 291-857-514B and last year they were still available for £40+vat. Yes £40!!

Below is a picture of two drivers side mirrors made into a pair by adding the passenger side upper bracket to the drivers side mirror

For your information the obsolete upper bracket you need to make two drivers side mirror arms into a pair is 281-847-539A

Here's some extra blurb on 80-90

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=94576&start=0&hilit=large+mirrors

It could be worth buying two mirrors and then sourcing an upper bracket????

This seller has 2 doors listed with upper mirrir mounts still attached, he might remove them for £. Not my advert. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-LT-DRIVER-FRONT-DOOR-FITS-PRE-1996-/250840024543?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CommercialVehicleParts_SM&hash=item3a673b05df

Those are the early version and even harder to find. They probably went obsolete sometime back in the late 1800's Wink

Right Upper mounting bracket (19) is still available according to Etos 281-847-540A and is about £1.50 but it's going to be hard to find no.20 especially without having to buy a complete mirror setup to get it.

As you have the upper mounting on the passenger side buy two of the new heated mirrors I listed above (they will fit. Just use your existing passenger side upper mount) and replace your old style mirrors and sell on the ones you remove????? The mirrors are bigger and will make it better for you to see behind you

You don't need to use the heated element. Just snip the wire.
