Just so you know, I have one of these and there is a recall at VW for the ECU- i think it was!.. nothing to worry about, its just an update. Give them a bell at your local vw dealer garage and check to see if it's been done. It's free too.

They did mine and it seems loads quicker!

Sorry it's munched through 105K at 50+ MPG.  Located just outside the cosmopoltan city of 'ull, East Yorks.
